rock and a hard place
up a steep hill the rover travelled. "i wonder where the top is?" said the rover.
'it must be somewhere after the gradient begins to decrease.', came a voice apparently from no where.
"how do you know that?", said the rover to itself.
'how do i know that, and what does it mean?'
the rover's mind ran through a sample of random memories hoping to trigger a clue to this bizarre, yet useful, knowledge.
"perhaps everyone knows that hills are round and flat on top?", thought the rover, as it continued up the rocky slope.
