would one accept they have yet more to learn
and find a quiet spot to sit
while contemplate and scaffold were employed
a simple fix one may yearn
but knowledge does not transpose

a young mind inquisitive
a world inhabited
fear of no solution
simple things become grown up
complex can be simple

back in brisisco for uni

well it's back to the uni routine again, and catching buses and trains there and back. feels very strange to be catching trains again, and buses, the ferries are the best though.
assignments are crashing down around me like i'm about to be crushed in a garbage disposal with leia, han, luke and the wookie. i hope to get out of this one alive.

7th week

my last week here is now over
the students have left the buildings
the teachers have returned home

only the learning remains
taking solace in the corners of lives
no one can escape it

the halls remain alive
with the sound of learning

I still don't feel like a teacher yet.
I feel like I've learnt only enough to know that I still have much to learn. However, I can cling to the basics I have learnt and will continue to build on that. What every good building needs is a good foundation.

2 days to go

i'm in my last week here now. only a few lessons left to present, some physics, maths c, trade and business and that's about it. it will be sad to leave again, i have to pack up all my gear from my little room here, cram it all in the car and drive back to bris again. i'm really enjoying the itinerant lifestyle with no real place of home or even a stable income for that matter. i will most probably take my internship at a different school next year as it would be good to get out and see a different school and experience some different student behaviours. it's been great here though, my supervisors have been very helpful and guided me along a good path to being a successful teacher. in the years ahead we'll find out how well i turn out as a teacher, but for now i feel like i have some good tools in my belt for some basic teaching. get the basics right and i can build the fancy stuff in later when i get better.

5th and 6th weeks

I caught a flu thing going round last week. It totally knocked me out, missed a few days off work. Am feeling better now, almost recovered fully. It's been hectic with the classes till now, and then there were exams and no teaching. Just a few classes next week to prepare for. Then it's back to uni again and do all my assignments. It's never ending. Then finally a week holiday and back to uni for the summer semester.
