7th week
7 weeks have passed now since i started intern teaching, and i have another 4 to go. the remaining weeks are disappearing fast as exams are coming up, revision lessons abound and new topics are started. i can't call myself a teacher yet because i still can't manage a year 9 class without significant assistance. and i can really only just manage the seniors. i forsee much hard work ahead. i also forsee some reward and feelings of goodness when i get there.

well, i might need voice coaching too. i just can't talk loud enough to command any attention in a classroom. but that's going to have to wait till i'm a teacher who has a job so i can afford it. we had a speech pathologist come and speak to us today at school (part business promotion/part informative) and it was really good. i was able to make my voice significantly louder almost instantly. but it's going to take more than a one off exercise to get into the habit of using the right muscles when i need to say something to a loud class.
