walk

i went for a walk on the weekend with one of my old flatmates. we visited lamington national park and did the coomera circuit. it was a relatively easy graded track for 18km with no steep hills, lots of fun creek crossings and lots of little water falls, plus the spectacular coomera falls. i wish i had a camera for a photo. the viewing platform was on the edge of a cliff with wire frame floor so you could see straight through it and down, down, down, all the way straight down to the pool of water directly below. it was a bit vertigo inducing walking on the platform and seeing nothing below, but the view was awesome. the falls were falling (duh!) and there was a nice spray drifting across the small gorge. i highly recommend the walk if you happen to be in the area and have a spare 4 hours (plus driving time).

Comments:
That sounds so nice! Sounds like just what I need to clear my head and get out. When I move back to brisbane one day, you shall take me there! It is decided! After all, I'm an old housemate too:)

yes we shall have to, i want to get some photos of the falls. it really was spectacular. and you get to cross lots of little creeks along the way too (or one creek lots of times:)

ps. went with bec1 and her boyfriend, was a good day out.
